These studies were quick, spontaneous explorations of colour and form. The moonlight series was inspired by a collage of my favourite photographs. The woman and child was inspired by listening to a piece of music on loop. I tried to imagine nostalgia, longing and a sense of yearning and how it would look as a painting.
